Deconstruction of SQ


  • Cut from a 3" square black construction paper.
Visual unity through the use of space and shapes formed.Movement achieved by overlapping the common line shapes and creating a rhythm in the middle of the diagonal lines.
Main idea was to create a sense of order.






  • Cut from 2 Sq's in the size of 4" from black & grey construction paper.

The little line designs was made from punching it out with a pattern notcher.
Main visual idea was overlapping curved lines.
Black is the dominant value in which it first leads the eye around the design and the grey comes along later.
